Today we got an outline of everything we are responsible for in the digestion unit as well as a digestive system practice test.  The digestion test will be on Tuesday, November 21. 

Genetics Presentations start on Thursday.

We dissected the pigs today!   The Digestive System was identified and analyzed.   Video clips of the dissection are due on Friday.

Today we completed the Digestion System by looking at nutrition and problems with digestive organs. 

- Turn in Digestive Enzymes worksheet (stapled one)
- Read the pig dissection and be prepared for a homework quiz tomorrow on this

Today we did Power Point notes on Digestive Enzymes.  Make sure you practice for the HW quiz tomorrow.  What enzymes are produced in what structures?

We did a practice sheet on enzymes and started a Digestive System review.

Today we did a Protist Lab.  Make sure you practice how to do Actual Size and Magnification of Drawing calculations.

Review for Microbiology Test is due on Thursday.   Microbiology test is also on Thursday, November 9.  This includes Bacteria, Viruses and Protists.

Today we had a "catch up" day to get all our work done.  Make sure you have turned in: 1) Actual Size and Drawing Magnification Lab      2) Protista Colouring Assignment
3) Viruses Structure and Function Worksheet

Today we took a homework quiz on structure and function of the digestive system.

Next we reviewed all the digestive enzymes.  Make sure you can list the enzymes in each step of the digestive system and what reaction they make happen.

We looked at absorption of nutriets into the vili and microvili
