Biology 12 (Anatomy and Physiology 12)

 During our double block we started the circulatory system by doing THIS notesheet with THIS power point.  We got up to and including heart beat.   We were also assigned THIS heart practice and the MODULE QUESTIONS.  

Biology 11 (Life Sciences 11)

Today we wrote our bacteria/archae QUEST.  Next we started reading about Protists.  Read page 68-72.  Answer Concept check questions page 69 and page 71 #1-4.  

Biology 12 (Anatomy and Physiology 12)

Today we wrote the DIGESTIVE system test.  Way to go, go glycogen!  Next we read the first third pages in the CIRCULATORY system unit (Chapter 12).  Tomorrow we will start circulation and play a circulatory board game!!

Today we looked at the results of our antibiotics vs. bacteria lab.  If you were away, check out the data HERE.  Next we got some reviews.  These are both due on Tuesday Nov. 29th- The day of the Bacteria and Archea Unit Quiz.  Colouring REVIEW and Vocab REVIEW

 Today we made some life size drawings of our digestive system with THIS assignment.  If you were away.....you could make a slightly smaller drawing:)

Next we worked on review.  The digestive system review KEY was given out and we checked the key for the Feed back mechanism worksheet:  Insulin and Glucagon

 Today we finished off the bacteria unit with:  

1) A lab on Antibiotics vs. Bacteria

2) Completion of the power point notes

3) Completion of the Distribution of Bacteria Lab with questions answered in full sentences

4) Read page 58-63.  Answer concept check questions on page 61 and 63 (2 sets on page 63)

Next we worked on our Animal Taxonomy Posters.  These are due TOMORROW!!

Today we went through the rest of the Digestive System power point notes.  Next we worked on our lab:  Influence of pH on Enzyme activity and watched the fetal pig dissection videos below:

1) The Influence of pH on Enzyme Activity lab and write up.  Answer questions and write a conclusion for this lab
