Today we did the last part of naming. We named and wrote formulas for Covalent Compounds and Acids. Practice worksheet with a partner on this.

Biology 12
Today we reviewed for our test tomorrow on Biomolecules and Cell Organelles.
We watched a Crash Course in Biology Video to review biomolecules.
Then for Test Practice on Big Paper (like a flash card) Draw structure on the front and then on the back write some things about this molecule: what is it used for and what organelles use this or make this?
Carbohydrates:
1) Glucose (monosaccaride) 2) Sucrose (disaccaride)
3) Starch (polysaccaride) 4)Gylycogen
Remember that cellulose is an unbranched chain of glucose found in plant cell walls
Lipids:
1)Neutral Fats (triglycerides) 2) Cholesterol 3) Phospholipids
Draw monomers that make this up
Proteins:
1) Amino acid (monomer) 2) Show a primary structure of a protein with polypeptide bond.
Nucleic Acids:
1) Nucleotide
Draw and label phosphate, sugar and a base
2) Draw ATP
