Biology 12
Today we did a partner quiz on the Cell Structures and Functions
We made a "sweet cell" with some edible parts and then wrote an individual quiz on the organelles.
I collected the entire booklet questions from Unit 1 as well as the Unit 1 review (written questions).
Tuesday Feb. 21 there will be a test on Unit 1: Biomolecules and the Cell

2) Did Unit 1 Test
3) Entered all our class results to finish our "mini lab" graphing as a means of seeking relationships
You should have this lab completed with the densities of your three liquids calculated.
4) Started on Naming Ionic compounds.
5) Homework: Complete part 2 on the blue sheet, naming ionic compounds.

Today we took notes on smooth and rough ER, Golgi Body, Vacuoles, Vessicles, and the secretory pathway to leave the cell.
We still have our lab on plants and animal cells to finish off, but we will leave that until tomorrow's double block.

Biology 12
Today we did a microscope lab on Cells. We looked at some plant and animal cells and tried to distinguish some structures: Cell membrane, cell wall, chloroplasts, nucleus, cytoplasm. We also made microscope drawings and calculated the magnification of the drawing based on the diameter of the field of view.
