Today we did a lab: Natural Variations Lab found HERE. When you have recorded all your measurements answer the questions on the back and make three graphs to display the data.
Today we reviewed the 5 principles of natural selection. Next we looked at some scenarios to review the 3 types of natural selection graphs. These scenarios are found HERE. (Practice problems on page 4)
Today we finished off our types of Energy Notes (from last class) . Next we took some notes on the Law of Conservation of Mass. These notes are found HERE. Next we did some conservation of energy calculations with THIS worksheet. The worksheet is due on Thursday.
Today we worked on our Solute Concentration of Potato Cytoplasm Lab. You need the following THREE things to be completed and emailed to me by Friday at 11:59 pm:). Please include the three items as attachments on the same email.
1) A hand drawn graph of % Change in Potato Mass vs. Concentration of Sucrose (M)
2) An excel graph with 2 lines of best fit on an x y scatter graph, labelled axes with units, R squared values , y= mx + b equations
3) Answers to all 9 questions at the end of the lab in full sentences.

Today we took notes on Evolution by Natural Selection. These are found HERE. Make sure you can explain the 5 principles of natural selection. Next we watched the first 20 minutes of what Darwin Never Knew below. Turn in 2 things you knew, two things you learned and one question you have.
