 Today we worked on our Earth Day Fair Projects and we took our plant out to "harden off" 

The text of the Earth Day Fair write up should be done for Friday.  

Life Sciences 11

 Today  we had some time to work on old assignments.  (See the blog posts throughout the week).  Next we watched part of "What Darwin Never Knew" documentary.  We also got some review worksheets for the Evolution Unit.  This MC one is found HERE and the written is HERE.    We are combining the evolution and taxonomy units, so you won't have a text right away when coming back to school:)

 Today we wrote our CELL MEMBRANE and TRANSPORT and ENZYMES quest.

Next unit is DNA replication and protein building.  

Life Science 11

 Today we took some notes on GENETICS REVIEW and Punnett Squares and did a lab on Allelic Frequencies in bunnies.  The review power point is found HERE (starting on slide #6) a Punnett Square review video is below

Next we did THIS lab.  I have included one with the results for you to graph if you weren't here for the lab itself.  Next we did THIS Punnett Square practice and got THIS review for the evolution unit.  Evolution will be combined with the next unit on TAXONOMY and the test will be on both of these after March break.  

Environmental Science 12

Today we went downtown as part of our local/sustainable business tour.  We had Tara and Kevan from Terra Vita Cafe talk to us about their farm and food and we ate some yummy stuff!

We also worked on our Earth Day presentations and emailed me some ideas/pictures for the project.  

  

Life Science 11

 Today we finished off the notes on THIS worksheet with THIS power point.  Next we filled THIS in using the video below.
