We practiced for the Biology Unit Test.   This test has been postponed until Tuesday.   Make sure you review vocabulary words and know how to do Punnett Squares and change DNA-mRNA-amino acids.

Today you should submit the Potato lab.  Share on Office 365.   We worked on the Enzyme Module questions and the Cell Membrane, Transport and Enzyme practice test.

Today we did the liver enzyme lab.   All you need to turn in for this are the data table and questions from the end of the lab. 

Tomorrow the french fry lab is due....Enzyme module questions due on Monday and test is on Tuesday on Cell Membrane, Transport and Enzymes.

TURN IN YOUR GENETICS PRACTICE TEST!!

Today we extracted DNA from strawberries and kiwis.   We got lots of DNA since strawberries are octoploid (8 sets of chromosomes).   See the video below to review the science.

Next we did some practice genetics questions and played some kahoots to review punnett squares and genetics.  Here is a good kahoot to practice with.

Today we practiced the concept of evolution by natural selection.  We answered some questions about giraffe evolution found HERE. 

Next we worked on the practice test for the genetics unit test coming up on Monday, March 9th.   This is due on Wednesday.

Biology 12

Today we wrote our module quiz on the transport across cell membranes.  (Module B and C from cell membrane and transport)

Next we watched a short enzyme video and got the enzyme module questions.  Reminder that your test on cell membrane and transport is coming up on Tuesday.   Potato lab is due on Friday.

Today we took some notes on evolution by Natural Selection.   Next we answered some questions about natural selection in different animal populations.  Questions are HERE.   We got a review for the Biology test---To be held next week.
