Biology 11 (Life Science 11)

Today we chatted with the Alberta college and university recruiters.  Next we checked the page on our notes from last week where we needed to draw some cell organelles and describe their functions.  

Quiz on Friday on parts of the microscope and calculations to determine actual size of objects under the microscope and drawing magnification.  

We got our quiz back on characteristics of life and key themes in biology.  

Biology 12 (Anatomy and Physiology 12)

 Today we worked on review for the biomolecule test coming up this Friday.  We worked on completing all the module questions for this unit, our test review and we got two new review sheets:  Review 1 and Review 2 answers to review 2 found HERE.

Biology 12 (Anatomy and Physiology)

Today we wrote a Quizeroooo on acids, bases and water.  Next we finished notes for this unit by taking notes on proteins and nucleic acids.   Review for the unit was given out.  It is HERE.   Answer key HERE.

Biology 12

Today we took notes on Lipids and then did a biomolecule lab where we look at standard tests for starch, simple sugars, lipids and protein.  Save your data until next week!

Biology 11 (Life Sciences 11)

Today we went over the homework questions from yesterday on page 8 in textbook.  Next we took notes on cells and then started a microscope lab that we will finish tomorrow.  Microscope lab is found HERE.

Today we took notes on carbohydrates.  Next we built our own glucose molecule.  Do all the 

iii) Carbohydrate module questions up to polymers- do the monosaccharide and disaccharide questions.
