Today we practiced riding the wave with a worksheet HERE and answer key HERE.  Next we took some notes on light.  These notes are found HERE.  Finally we played with prisms and mirrors and tried to get white light split into the rainbow.  See a cool video below.

 Today we finished off the Enzyme Notes and watched the video below to review enzymes.  Next we worked on Enzyme worksheet, Cell Membrane and Transport Module:  KEY HERE and our Solute concentration of potato lab.  The potato lab is due tomorrow (11:59 pm at the latest)

We also got a practice quest found HERE with key HERE.  The quest is coming up on Wednesday or Thursday this week (depending on your block)

Today we did a whole unit (almost:) on Enzymes.  The notesheet is found HERE and the power point is HERE.  Next we got a handout on enzymes that is due on Monday.  This sheets are found HERE and HERE and due on Monday.  

Remember the potato lab is due TUESDAY.  Hard deadline!  HERE is the Rubric for the lab.  

 EXEMPLAR of the solute concentration of potato lab....without the questions of course.  Note that they came up with a hypothesis, but I didn't require you to have one this year.

Today we worked on WAVES.  We took notes.  These are found HERE.  Next we played with some slinkys to practice what we learned.  Next we watched the BILL NYE movie found below and did two things you knew, two things you learned and one question.

Today we continued with our hard work on DNA - Transcription and Translation.  We took notes up to slide # from the power point HERE on the notesheet HERE.  It is still cold outside so we got our codon table.  This is found HERE.

 Today I collected the questions on page 69 that were assigned yesterday.  Next we took notes on NUTRIENTS and the RESPIRATORY SYSTEM.  If you missed class, you can get a photocopy of these notes.  

Next we continued working on the cell model.

Today we took notes on the digestive system.  Power point is HERE and notesheet HERE.  Next we did a cutting and pasting activity to practice the organs of digestion.  This was given out in class.

Finally we got a reading assignment with questions.  The assignment is:  Read page 64-69 and answer the reading check questions on page 69.  Make sure you answer these in full sentences.

Today we worked on CELLs and Microscope practice.  First we did THIS cut and paste activity to review cell organelles.

Finally we started building a model of a cell this project is found HERE.  We picked a specific type of human cell or a plant cell for our model.
