Life Science 11

 Today we skipped the WORMS in the sprint through the ANIMAL kingdom and went straight to MOLLUSCS.  First we reviewed CNIDARIANS WITH THE VIDEO BELOW.  Next we took notes on Phylum Mollusca from THIS power point.  Finally we did the colouring sheet on Mollusks found HERE.

Life Sciences 11

 Today we worked on the Animal Kingdom with notes on Sponges and Cnidarians.  The power point is found HERE (Slides #13-16) and we started THIS colouring sheet.  

Anatomy and Physiology 12

 Today we took some written notes on pH balance in the body using the respiratory centre and the kidneys.  We also took notes on hormonal control of water balance and blood pressure.  Know about ADH and aldosterone.  Next we got the review for the Urinary System and the Kidneys.  This review is found HERE and answers are HERE.

 Today we went to the play.  We also had time to do some notes on our final unit:  ANIMALS!!

Anatomy and Physiology 12

 Today we looked at the KIDNEYS!!  We took some written notes and added colour to diagrams.  If you missed these, use THIS write up.  

We performed a KIDNEY dissection and started the module questions.  Module questions are found HERE.

Life Sciences 11

 Today we wrote the PLANT UNIT TEST.  Next we read and took notes on Camas Lilies on page 111 in the text book.  Make sure you turn in a summary of how First Nations people used the lilies as food.  Next we watched the two videos below to introduce the ANIMAL UNIT.

 Today we wrote notes on the Urinary System.  Use THIS sheet to help you make notes.  Next we read Chapter 16.1 and did the concept check #1-3 at the end of 16.1
